Writer’s Workshop in Utror Valley

August 25, 2024

GCDP’s team conducted a one-day “Gawri Writer’s Workshop” in Govt Higher Secondary School Utror Valley. Total 36 students from 9th and 10th class attended the workshop. The first session was on the importance of reading and writing in mother tongue. Mr. Wadood took a detailed look at the results and outputs of MLE schools of GCDP and acknowledged the students about the importance of education in mother tongue.

Mr. Hayat gave a comprehensive lecture on extra alphabets and characters of Gawri language. Students were made to practice writing in Gawri language. Later, the students were asked to write stories, poems, jokes, and proverbs themselves. All the participants were fully satisfied and learnt to write in their mother language. They were enthusiastic to write the online digital publications for Gawri Channel.

Those students who had smart phones, also installed Gawri keyboard in their mobiles.

Sharing their suggestions, the school principal and students requested to arrange more workshops in this way so that their writings can improve, and they can write and read more easily.

In the end tea, samosas and biscuits were given to the students as refreshments.
